Our goals
Education
We support the TLCA with donations for school fees, food, uniforms and other school related costs. This enables us to bring disadvantaged children (back) to school and provide them with (further) education.
Riding
We support the TLCA with financial and material donations of bicycles, spare parts, helmets, shoes and much more. In this way, we are able to teach children and young people values for their future through cycling.
Racing
We advise, network and support the TLCA with donations for equipment, travel, entry fees and much more. This allows us to promote mountain biking in the country and develop talent.
The long-term goal
By establishing a vocational training centre with a local network as a meeting point and location, we have succeeded in creating a place for young people to exchange ideas, motivate themselves and make the transition from school to working life.

About COBCAL
Can One Bicycle Change A Life
Vision & Mission
COBCAL’s vision is to bring the story of Rwanda and its burgeoning cycling community to a global audience. They want to not only celebrate the talent and perseverance of these extraordinary people, but also highlight the power of sport as a tool for change and community.
Why ?
After their first trip to Rwanda, they were deeply impressed by the unwavering determination of the people and their passion for cycling. There were countless stories of challenges and triumphs that motivated COBCAL to make a film to bring this extraordinary story to a wider audience.
How ?
The team conducted interviews with young mountain bikers, their families, and their coaches, and began filming in Rwanda’s breathtaking landscape during the Rwanda Epic 2024. The goal was to complete the film by summer 2025 and screen it at the World Championships in Rwanda.
